Reckless driving mostly if you are solo...e.g hitting a tree. The distinction between the two is that one has a custodial sentence the other is mostly finable...
And unless they have an open and shut case cops never charge one with just dangerous driving. Chances of acquittal are high. So they add an alternate of reckless driving...
