Started out as Nation Television,then changed to NTV,and now it wants to change yet again. Aren't these the signs of a non-performer? Remember Kencell-Celtel-Zain?

@dsktop; Interestingly,without the Nation newspapers,NTV would not survive. On the other hand,without KTN,the Standard would also not survive.....

You might not like their news,but the rest of KTN's programming is a lot more popular than NTVs......but Citizen is steadily changing that equation.....

@Mukiha,

May i suggest that citizen is ahead of the pack courtesy of it's numerous local,voice and picture quality.NTV is yet to cover many areas in Kenya.

I would move it out of Nation Centre; change it's name to one that has absolutely no relationship with NMG; find a niche market (I think sports can be a sure winner); and run it as if it didn't have a 'tall uncle'

It took quite some time to adapt to the NTV name after Nation.....to me it's still Nation!

Re branding again? That's repetitive. Just say Ntv is re- branding

if it rebranded from nation to NTV and does the same again..would that still be rebranding or may be 2nd rebranding...

@Kasheshi and Mukiha - both right. 'Rebranding for a third time' or 'rebranding (yet) again' both sound right. Since its has happened more than once.

On a different note,the comic search thing left a LOT to be desired 1)almost 90% of the show was about people who were unfunny to say the least 2) does that mean the search was unsuccessful? 3) Given the low level of talent,why bother editing all that material - what a waste of resources/camera/crew!!!! A big disappointment IMHO. Some people think a narrative about something silly amounts to comedy. Sometimes a narrative about something tragic can be comedic....most of those guys were soo0 off the mark I think NTV did not properly articulate what they wanted. Thumbs down

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

This is not rebrandint,its giving a new look. The name is still ntv but with small letters and rainbow colours.

KTN also did that just the other day to 'ALWAYS KTN' in a button and a robbot.

I don like 'ALWAYS' clause they added

@Djinn

The search is not started yet,that was mombasa and Churchil is going many places,Churchil live started like that and finished with a bang! by the way it won so many awards last week but one.

rebranding can be done even a million times and this is part of corporate marketing strategies;Coca cola for example has rebranded so many times in its lifecycle.

I think it is cool but I expected more.

However,I am nostalgic about their original anthem - from the days when they first launched.

du du du dung du du du du dung..or something like that.. Wish they could bring it back.
