I am thinking of purchasing a vehicle and leasing it to one of the reputable cab companies out there. Anyone who has done the same and has any advice or cautions? Thanks.

I have not dealt with the cab companies before but I lease cars to expatriates and if lucky you can get one to lease yours for 1 year.

I once thought of implementing this idea.
I learnt most cab companies prefer Toyota's esp Allions,NZE.
I learn't you cater for most of the expenses e.g service for the car.
They prefer new cars '06/'07 and a company like Kenatco insists on 3 mnths of using the car before they start paying 30k a month.
Its usually on agreed contractual terms.
I felt discouraged considering it's anew car i've bought.

Dig out more and share.

If you awant to lose your car or your car to be used for robberies try the business. At best your car will be misused and you will get stories.

Get a car and its driver, you'll be in business. Hiring out a car to someone you hardly know is like giving out cash to an investor... they'll first satisfy themselves before (thats if you are lucky) think about you.
