I read her book and it kinda changed me... she was a simple woman who knew what she wanted and stepped out to get it! simple... no conspiracies, not big well thought out plots and plans! just did everything she did with just a modicum of courage.

To save Uhuru Park, This woman stood up to Moi at a time when most men would not dare. If you have hung out or attended a gospel crusade at Uhuru park recently, thank Maathai. She can't be forgotten.
