'Imagine he is dead'. That was the first message I received from the first lady when she came into the bedroom from the store, where our cat, sidiq succumbed to his ailment.
He had been part of the family since 2008, the kids loved, the gals would feed him. That made me also love him more, would buy him dagaa from supermarkets and life was good.
That was until two weeks ago when he fell ill, initially thought he had been hit by a neighbour. Or a stray dog.
When his condition worsened, first lady took him to a vet, who said he has parasites causing internal heamorheage(sp), injected him and promised he'd be ok.
He improved untill last saturday when he refused to eat anything. Then today in the morning!!!!He passed on.
sob sob sob. My daughters are disturbed, very much. their mother feels she has lost part of her family. By extension the UM in da house is stressed.
Bye sidiq. Will give u a descent burial in the evening.

Not really, we are apolitical and leave the rest to politicians after voting.

But sidiq was such a close buddy to the family. We moved to the hood in Jan 08 and with PEV, life was initially hard. we had not put a wall fence and the fear was real. But sidiq kept the rats, snakes at bay and I would tell the gals sidiq was watching over us at night against the bad people(PEV). Of course that lie helped me manage the gals at that time.
So am feeling the loss of a friend.
