What MSC and what benefits would accrue from having it. CASH!!! HELB is attractive but destructive. You will be subject (slave) to the lender especially in an uncertain world.

Every specialization course of MBA at the University of Nairobi has suddently acquired an MSC version at which they charge (MSC) a whole Kshs 25k (more than double that of MBA)in tuition fees per unit for 15 units. Whats the difference, for example, btw MBA (HR) and MSC (HR) or MBA Finance and MSC Finance, or MBA Marketing and MSC marketing, etc apart from the price differences?

The MSC is IT related and the benefits are immediate. I was toying with the idea of investing the cash and using HELB.

Depends on how long the course is. But if you can negotiate your way out of the murky waters of HELB then be it, take it up.

HELB interest rates p.a
Undergraduate =4%
Postgraduate = 12%
if your investment will yield more than the interest rate, go for it, if not, cash.
