Compared to Eurasia and North and South America, Africa isn't particularly well-known for its dinosaurs--but
the species that lived on this continent during the
Mesozoic Era were among the fiercest on the planet.
Here's a list of the 10 most important African dinosaurs, ranging from Aardonyx to Vulcanodon.
http://dinosaurs.about.c...p/African-Dinosaurs.htm

There is a book on the same: Famous Dinosaurs of Africa:
"African dinosaurs make a significant contribution to palaeontology, but they are often omitted from books in favour of better-known species like T. Rex. But their
fossils have been discovered across the continent – from
the Sahara Desert and the dusty plains of Kenya and Tanzania to the sandstone flats of the Karoo – and they are no less magnificent or
fascinating than their
'celebrity' cousins.

And are there dinosaurs roaming the vast forests of Congo waiting to be 'discovered'?

The seem to have forgotten 2 species:
- Yattasaurus - solely responsible for deforesting Kenya to its current semi-arid form
- chalbisaurus - a giant grass/tree eater whose excreta was sedimented into the oil fields being discovered in northern Kenya.

Hehe. Of course the same people could conveniently argue that the fossils are not millions of years old;-)

So how exactly did the dinosaurs become extinct? They claim an asteroid hit mother earth or something? How come no other animal vanished?

Dinosaurs were too BIG and thus they could not burrow or hide under caves to shelter themselves from freely flying "missiles".

the Asteroid did not kill the dinosaurs itself but rather the climatic change caused by the asteroid killed of many many species... this is what is know as an "extinction level event". All over sudden many species disappear. in the case of the event 65 million years ago. Climatic changes may have killed of dinosaur food and land animals. you need to understand that the other by that time was heavily colonized by reptiles and were it not for this event mammals may have never flourished. You may wonder how possible it is for the climate to change so drastically to cause mass deaths.... if the amount of dust that raises from an asteroid hitting earth is large enough it would take months may be years to clear - this would cause lots of plant life to die and then consequently the animals that ate them and up the ladder. it would take about 10 million years for biodiversity to recover. our species itself survived a similar event - the toba event some 70k years ago.

Nowhere does the bible say world is 6k years old. Indeed, the Earth and heavens existed before man was created. Read Genesis 1. I guess these existed for say billions of years b4 man was created

The bible is many things but it's not
1) a history book
2) a science book

For a moment I thought you were serious.
BTW Yattasaurus aptly describes land grabbing political class.

Most of the animals you see today did not exist during the time of dinosaurs.
The ancestors of all mammals were small burrowing creatures. The fact that it burrowed into the ground is what saved them from becoming extinct when the asteroid hit.

you know most of these questions can be answered by just googling. the Asteroid hit the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and created the chicxulub crater. there has been some activity on that front lately .
