I just read a very interesting article on one Dennis Itumbi's blog

http://www.dennisitumbi.com/?p=588

I must say, now I know why this internet thing is such a problem for people to understand in Kenya. If this is how journalists and self appointed blog journalists think, then we have more Nation Hela's and Pyramid schemes coming to Kenya Soon.

Mr. Itumbi, I know you think you are a journalist. But your proposal to "VET" bloggers under "the kenya bloggers association" is misinformed.

It is in the same level as the misinformed Nation editorial about "vetting" bloggers.

I suggest you first of all read about the history of blogging, find out what it is, then start offering opinion pieces that were not coined at Gypsys.

On a serious note, can someone please explain to me how Kenyan journalists can be so naive and myopic in their thinking? Is there a journalism school in this country anymore?

The guy has no clue what he is talking about. Basically he is saying the Kenya Bloggers Association whoever that body is should regulate/vet/whatever the Internet.
