Men are creatures of habit. So when I read about Orange 42mbps, I duly embarked on the same trip as when I first read about Safaricom and their now debunked 42mbps.

I walked into a shop at Westgate, but this time, I did not blindly believe the news and the gloss. Nope, I had learnt my lesson the first time. I asked to test, test, test!

Sadly, the results were disappointing. My only memories in the same shop were of the day I walked out with an Orange 21mpbs modem, in a flash, due to its impressive results.

But alas! 42mbps in Kenya is a myth, much slower and patchier than the respective 21mbps modems for both Safaricom and Orange.
