Hi Guys,

Has anyone ever bought anything on E-Bay and shipped to Kenya? Is this even possible. If yes, what are your experiences in getting the goods to Kenya, in terms of paying, doing the purchase and eventually arranging for shipping.

If u don't mind also, is the stuff on that bid-buy website always Legit.

Would appreciate your feedback.

I buy on Ebay. but limit my purchases to small value items. Usually when you sign in, and search for something, Ebay will show you vendors who will ship to Kenya, and the relevant charge if any.

Items arrive via post... sometimes I pay duty sometimes it slips through.

Sometimes some items never arrive, but most vendors resend if you request.

Takes a month at least from payment to delivery.

Feedback is very important on Ebay, hence it is wise not to buy from someone with little feedback, or with a lot of negative feedback.

Thanks for feedback. I am curious about relevant agents who can ship to Kenya. Should this suggestions appear automatically? I cannot see any in my profile. Sad.
Again, when you say arrive by post, it means, they cannot ship to a physical address, like DHL, etc?

I will sure, check feedback, and the "Top Rated" sellers.

@webish On BidOrBuy; i'm not sure what your experience with them is, but i retail on their site and have found them to be quite genuine.

And although their HQ is in SA, they have a local office along Parklands road. You can also simply call [0705-155932] should you have any questions.

I have been buying online for the last 5 years and have been using FedEx or UPS. But lately i have discovered that Posta are getting efficient and definitely cheaper in terms of shipping and tax. As soon as you get the tracking number, make sure that you fika City Square a day or two after the item lands. You are bound to get it quite intact....

Most sellers ship themselves, so you don't need agents. I use Posta, its easier than dhl etc but again I only buy small value items on ebay...I prefer more valuable stuff from Amazon.

Thanks for this information. Quite helpful. Will check whether they've got what I need.

Hi Sizzla,
What's the procedure for using Posta? How do you link up Posta and the Supplier on E-Bay etc etc?
And this also means, you use a Postal Adress, and not a Physical Address, right?

I tried to add sth on my Cart, and immediately it told me, "Supplier cannot ship to Destination", i.e Kenya, which I put as my Location. #phhhr.

Actually its easy. But use ebay.co.uk coz shipping stuff from uk is much easier. I bought a cover for my phone there... they send using ems and you collect your package from the post office (with the yellow card).. delivery is really fast, but it gets a little crappy when you have to pay the import duty- might take almost a whole day!!

Hi Dmitry,
I have just tried checking out on ebay.co.uk and it listed "Express Int'l Postage" as the Service. Is this the same as EMS? Or Post? Is it familiar?

I cannot see any other options for me to choose.
