"Hey Team, A certain blogger brought this to our attention and we would like to strongly point out that if this is what certain vernacular musicians are doing, regardless of the language and community, we truly stand against it! Music in our respective languages is beautiful, but when corrupted for an agenda that disunites Kenyans, it's shameful. We are doing something about it, and we hope you will also take it upon yourself for the good of Kenya as a whole to watch out for certain acts and base your votes on ISSUES and NOT tribal affiliations/individuals. Kenya is all we have, guard your fellow citizen, guard your nation." That is from some guys calling themselves Team Uhuru on their FB page. I had not heard that music before but to be honest it's appalling. If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love - Maya Angelou

II am surprised that in this day and age we can still tolerate such music whereas we claim we are nationals. Yah right, and if it was coming from some quarters we would be up in arms. Anyway that is Kenya, the more things change, the more they remain the same. Thieves

i cant believe we have gone down that route knowing so well where we were last time... Am completely behind banning of these songs, and if they insist, banning of all the music they have produced and future productions and prosecution if need be! Its completely unacceptable!
PK, RAO, MK, KM are practicing their constitutional rights just like everybody else so they need no one tell them what they should do! Ati anoint? What crap is that!

Unfortunately for the love of African music.I bought the CD Uhuru ni witu somewhere along outering road from some guys advertising it thru playing it loudly in a plombox.Issue is my collegues in office who knew the lyrics and i informed abt the purchase just laughed. Now i know.God help Kenya. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Muigai's main songs since the PEV have been just about those who were guilty for the suffering of 'his people' and the justice he thnks they should face. I find his music as against national reconciliation. He manages to keep his audience bitter and ready for war. I didn't know his latest line is Uhuru worship. I thought he supported Karua. I doubt this music gets play in radio stations but you find these guys in trading centres and markets selling the VCDs at very low prices so you would expect this in matatus and homes. The fact that these are popular musicians means NCIC has a lot of work to do.

I'm finding it impossible to believe that this is not part of the TNA machine in shags. Absolutely shameful. I've been on record saying that some of these guys you are voting for can't be maids in your house. Their supporters just confirm this every time. Absolutely pathetic. Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
