Really sad, Our government (read Kalonzo Kimemia, Mwazo, Adwoli etc) spent the entire day in Mombasa admonishing the US government for issuing a travel advisory to its citizens to avoid Mombasa as there was an imminent attack planned for Mombasa before the end of the month.
Kimemia went ahead to as usual reclaim our sovereignity infront of the cameras during a lengthy and elaborate press conference and assure all Kenyans that we are safe and there is no imminent attack. Google KTN and Citizen news yesterday. Agrrey Adwoli - PPO Msa spent the all his time after the travel advisory was issued assuring Kenyans measures were in place and the police had capacity to detect and prevent any terrorism attack. Infact he went ahead to claim they have instituted random vehicle checks to pick out bombs, grenades and terrorists. Kalonzo while speaking in church admonished the US government for the lack of protocol and claimed the coast was safe and free from any imminent attack. After all that KABOOOOM! it's like the terrorists were watching the news and decided to make a mockery of these leaders. What is wrong with our adult population and especially our leaders?? Why do they keep lying and denying. Do they think lying and denying will change the reality that largely we are at the mercy of GOD and our fellow citizenswhen it comes to terrorists and not our security.
Every bomb warning the US government has issued in regard to Al Shabaab has come to pass. Bela Vista, Town malls etc. How about we our security Zips it! and borrows or collaborates with the Americans in intelligence gathering, sharing and acting period!!!
