Are you sure you want plasma?I would advice you get LCD.....it has less image 'burn' on the screen and has a longer life span than plasma. It doubt plasma is on sale anymore especially in Kenya since its an out-dated expensive technology. If you decide to go the LCD way, bought with my neighbour a 32' one at the LG shop at ICEA building at 62k....and it was on a limited christmas offer. It's an LG and works fine, they were offering a 3year warranty .There were Sony ones also but a couple of thousands more pricier with only 1.5yrs warranty. The course of the world is changed by those who dare dream! Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

32 inch should go for about 59K. Ignore and completely discard the idea of Plasma.
It is not the best. Go for the TFTs from Samsung especially. LG isalso great!
Best wishes!

Samsung and Sony have a joint venture on LCD panel development. This means the technology on both sets are exactly the same. Remember that before you splash out extra for Sony. There is a little heard of brand called Aucma (yes, like your name) that have reliable and cheap TVs. They even assemble them in Embakasi near the Coca Cola plant. Sorry I don't have contacts.

samsung and lg seems to be leading on innovative technology, they have an edge. infact if you their product today it will look outdated in a months time. the latest is PDP models on both. however, you can get intouch with the samsung hq based at victoria towers for the best deal,or hotpoint at sarit for LGs,again for a good deal. try either LCD or PDP at the same chums.

I had a 32' LCD LG,picture was wack, images were poor & then the thing blew up one day when electricity blinked twice. After that i went to dixons & was adviced to try their PANASONIC HD PLASMA 37'. Guess that was the best thing that happened to me. Picture excellent, like 10 times better than the LG,i even wondered why i bought the LG. Original Panasonic from dealer gets 3 year warranty. If goin 4 plasma, get the Panasonic,if LCD,get the Samsung series 4 or 5,or Sony Bravia X series or V series(Avoid U & S,especially U). My 2 cents.

If you want a 32' - the only plasma you will get is LG. LCD - 32' you can get from any brand.
It all depends on what you will be watching.....if you like sports and action movies your best bet is a plasma (look up response time and 150 hz flicker free technology) - the plasmas have no response time so no motion blurring providing the smoothest picture quality. Additionally look at the colors on a Plasma they will be more natural than LCD.
On the other hand if you are connecting a PC or watching regular programming go for the LCD. Also depends on the lighting in your room. The higher resolution will be better but only if you have a HD input (think bluray or PS3) otherwise no current need to get the higher resolution.
From my experience LG has the most innovative TVs (check out their time machine) in the market with the best features and the 3 years warranty is excellent. They currently have 10% off on all their TVs so now would be the best time to buy (until the 15th).
@Birdman - Plasmas actually have a longer life span - 100,000 hours as opposed to 60,000 hours for the LCD and burn in is no longer a factor, technology has overtaken this issue
Best of luck finding what you want.

dont buy the SONY,they are overpriced for nothing and have only 1 year warrant.
I friend bought an LG in ukwala and mark you, that this is perfect... perfect clarity...and sound.
You dont have to host the aerial outside.. you just use it the way it is.
perfect

The Sanyo TVs are on offer but the specifications which translate to picture quality are terrible - do not go that way.
You have to think about a lot of things when doing this - for looks I think both LG and Samsung compete well they both have invisible speakers and the shiny black finishing with swivel stands.
Still go for LG - better specs and 3 years warranty

@ eli
i am not sure about the cost now since i believe that after i commit myself i dont look for prices again coz i will feel cheated if i get a cheaper price. but a friend of mine told me nowadays 27' going for less than 50k in nakumatt and LG centres around the city.
