Please translate. It's probably happened anyway. Even our weather cannot allow this, have you seen how cloudy it has been lately! I was wondering why the government cannot even put it on TV for the sake of the people, what happened to our KBC? Or they are worried people will stare at the sun "nude in the eyes"?

Those are the times of the transit. From the time it gets in and out. Given that sunrise and sunset for Kenya was/is 06:30 and 18:33 respectively, you had to have woken up pretty early to see anything.

Too lazy to research so I will ask at the risk of sounding like an idiot.

Could someone explain to me how it manages to change its position viz a viz the sun (I assume it moves significantly closer to the sun compared to where it currently is) without undergoing significant alterations (ok getting burnt).

They say the earth altering its position from the sun by a few inches could result in significant impacts to its structure.
