Who would one wish to buy a buggy 'Windows Vista Original' while Windows 7 is on offer.... *

@Uzito,

I personally use Vista and have no bug issues.They were there before but when I upgraded to service pack 2 everything started working well.No complaints ( in fact I love it in comparison to XP). Windows 7 is on offer.......but does that mean it's bug free?After people start using it,that's when you will get bugs being reported.

Anyway........

@bird_man,bugs have mainly been resolved in Windows 7. I was part of the test (automated responses to Windows sucked the hell out of my bambanet) and have used it for a good part of the last five months. I use release 7000 but hear that the commercial release is awesome.

@Birdman

It depends with what you do with your vista not to experience bugs even with SP2.

I have used the Windows 7 beta and it manages resources better than Vista. You can use it comfortably on a low specs PC.

I would prefer Windows 7 with bugs to Vista...that is my personal opinion anyways...

I want a copy of Windows Vista as badly as I'd like a Nissan Land Cruiser or Toyota Patrol. Can you email it to me at opensource@doeswindowsreallysuckorwhat.net? I see the Jolly Roger is really flying high in the Gulf.

@Uzito,

Sounds like Windows 7 is some good stuff. I must admit Vista had some nasty issues before SP2 but now I really really love it and feel sorry for XP users.Anyways,all the best,I might make the switch too,once I get my hands on an original W7 copy.
Anyone who is still interested in Vista,got one copy left,hit me on my email address.

Vista and windows 7 are power hogs.
Ati the above manages resources efficiently,I refute. Just Microsoft way of getting Rich.
I will keep using my XP Professional till they stop offering support.
Maybe I will consider moving to Linux or buy a Mac.

Thank you VVS,I'm not interested that much in comparisons,just email me if you want Vista Business. Its like starting to compare a Toyota,VW and BMW.They all have buyers for different reasons ranging from looks,price and re-sale etc........

Gordon,

I once had an 'Original Pirated Vista Ultimate'.
Its original coz it works just like the real thing,even when online and connecting to microsoft servers........but its pirated coz u didnt buy it. So I used it for like 1year...........until I did an automatic upgrade of Service Pack1......hehe!The laptop shutdown immediately and gave me 3days to buy a license......and all my data was in it!

@ VVS this is SK tangenting is a standard!!!
@ Birdman ...... Have to tangent from your thread.

I hate wasting money. Have never used linux but im seeing myself going in that way!! I have been using open source software from open office to mozilla among many others. They really serve me well. I cant understand why you would use money on windows.
My comp came with vista Business. Had it been basic linux would be my first choice.
PS: Linux is not vulnerable to virus,faster,smaller,less mem requirement.

Still off topic but....

I installed Mac OS X on my AMD desktop and my Toshiba. It is a bit technical but once you have got it working,it's really great.

@Tony.....lets 'tangent'
I will tell you why I love Microsoft.

I get almost all products free in one way or the other,you just need to be smart.
Uniformity.Its a great thing especially in the corporate world.If you have get into a new company and find e.g a microsoft server,you know where to start from and how to connect and do stuff on it. It's great for people like me in IT.

I think as long as you have a good original installation,a good anti-virus as well and some connection to the net for updates,you are set. If you don't,maybe go the open source way.

I also wonder why people complain about MS taking up too much resource,too much memory,HDD space.........why the hell did one buy Core2Duo or 4GB ram and 320GB HDD drives!?Did you buy it to 'keep it safe' or to use and test your machine to the limits?!

Bird man for an IT guy your love for microsoft should be a bit bipolar both with great times and melancholic times.
About the free stuff which are usually updates well more often they are patches made to seal up loop holes here and there.
Linux has more people working on making it better than there microsoft employees working on developing window 7 or any windows.
You mentioned free stuff........... You cant not even begin to compare cost of linux and windows. HOW??? everything is free with linux the only thing you pay for is consultants but you are an IT gut there are many SKs on the net for linux stuff.
Not prone to virus can windows really say that??
There are so many many flavours of linux windows doesn't have that range of choice.

About the laptop if windows is busy hogging the memory and then the antivirus kicks in which linux users dont necessarily have to have you will soon discover you need more ram and a faster processor.

Did i mention linux is free free free and most of the associated softwares are free free free!!!!

Hehe Tony!Inakaa you have beaten me hands down on that!I agree.
But its kinda funny,it's just like the way Safcom has all of us in their bag yet we all know they are not truly the better option!
