Hi Wazuans,

A friend of mine broke up with his second wife in 2006 and they had a 2year old baby girl. He took the child to live with him and applied for full custody in the Ugandan courts.

He came back to Kenya in 2009 with a new wife and she also got a baby making two in all(NOT COUNTING THE ONE FROM THE FIRST WIFE)

In 2010, the Ugandan (third wife) left him and went with her daughter.

The guy took the other girl to live in a chidren's home in UG.

The mother was so traumatised by police harassment and she was ordered never to step in Kampala. She is not even aware that the guy is in Kenya now but he lies to her that the child is ok. It has been difficult to serve court papers because she doesn't know where the guy is(but I know)

As a concerned citizen, I feel the government should bring this child to Kenya to be with her mother or even a foster family. This guy does not have a birth certificate and whichever papers he has a re forged with a different name. The little girl does not even know her real name or her mother. The father does not visit her at all or talk to her . What can be done?

I forgot to add am also concerned about this guy's frame of mind. About two weeks ago his son (from the first wife) visited him but he didn't take him back. When we went to his place, we found that he had got an order for temporary custody by alleging that the child had been dumped and lying about the identity of the mother. He told the child that he is getting him another school but so far no interviews have taken place.

PS: He ordered the child to switch off phone and lied to the mother the battery was low.....

I've lost count of those wives.

I won't want to be friends with this kind.

@new investor, this is sad. Too sad. You may need a discussion with a lawyer on your options here. Please ditch the 'friend'

Thanks all for your contributions. Somehow we managed to trace the mother and the guy has been ordered to produce the child at NAIROBI CHILDREN'S COURT on the 2nd of July.

Now the man is acting like the victim and appealing for the public to have mercy

Am sure I had not mentioned that the man used police to bar the child's mother from entering UG so she could never know what is going on

I HAVE DITCHED THIS FRIEND NOW!!!! Jah help I
Can you believe the child does not know her real name or her mother?
I now believe the Kenyan courts are working.

The guy passed 2 weeks ago and no one knows the whereabouts of this small girl... what should the mother do now?

@new investor, your friend was investing too much in the fairer gender. Now that he has gone to makueni let him rest in peace as all his earthly problems are over.
