Hi everybody,

If you have an interest in other African markets, I've done some quick analysis on which stock exchanges offer the most compelling blend of growth and value.

Where to Invest Now: Africa's Cheapest Stock Market

As always, I'd love any suggestions or feedback for improving the model.

Cheers!

Was about to add something but I found it in the same blog u posted .Here it is.

Unfortunately, investing solely on the basis of growth forecasts often ends in disappointment. Rapid economic growth doesn’t necessarily translate into awesome stock market returns. In fact, studies show there is no correlation between the two.

There are many indexes which help build up investor confidence.Growth is not sufficient enough.

@hooverrl/ Ryan I like your thinking. Your measure though would make sense if the GDP growth was focused industry focused. For example Kenyans 5% growth is currently driven by horticulture, tourism and finance. The P/E/G ratio would make sense to compare the P/E ratio of the industries that drive the growth.
Another example of not applying the whole index to your P/E/G ratio is Ghana. The 7% growth is tame for given that they are now oil producers and had a 13% growth in 2011. Most if this growth is in oil, gold and Cocoa driven therefore your PEG ratio would make o much sense in this industries.

I think this is still an interesting view of the next growth areas in Africa.

I see where you're coming from, Tony. The economic growth isn't even across all industries. Hopefully, the spinoff effects from hot sectors will be a boon to stocks operating in other industries, too.
