I have not yet.I enjoy the digital signal from my DSTV.
The Kenyan planners are so reckless, they sell Kibera people set top boxes at Kes.9,000 while a colored TV 14 inch in Luthuli goes for Kes.5,000!!!

Signet has signals on the DVB-T and DVB-T2 platforms. Signals are of superior quality than the analogue we are used to.

Citizen and NTV withdrew from signet offering.

Smart TV went under and left subscribers with useless decoders.

Am yet to taste DVB-T2 yet. No decoders available for this

Are there any set-top box/integrated TV vendors yet? I just visited the CCK website but they didn't have that info.

Potential business idea perhaps?

Currently, I don't think our market has TVs that are DVB capable. Samsung is planning one with integrated decoder Satellite

Can this digital tv thing come quickly! Lets get it over and done with! This on and off is boring.

(I have been trying to wean myself off tv and its kinda hard, you know. When it comes I wont buy, I can then go cold turkey in peace.)

LED/LCD TVs on sale in Europe, Malaysia, etc have inbuilt DVB decoders/tuners. Why is it that these same companies (LG, Sony, Samsung) do not stock these models in Kenya? yet they all know that we are migrating from Analog to Digital?

As usual, Africa is the damping ground.
DVB has been on air since late 2009 in Kenya

Some of the SONYs (and I think SAMSUNGs) *are* DVB-T capable and available locally. DVB-T2 capable TVs however are not too common.

NTV, KTN, KISS, KBC are available on DVB-T (not sure if it is the SIGNET signal). Citizen was for a little while a couple of weeks ago - perhaps I need to rescan...

They are on Signet. Citizen is not on Signet as yet.

I have a Star™ decoder (DVB-T) which I understand will be useless on changeover.
