I am watching Mummar Gadafi speaking at the UN assembly and boy,Isnt the guy spewing venom? He says
- the UN charter is obsolete
- that the rich countries terrorize the poor countries.
- that Africa should get a permanent council seat at the UN.
- Resolutions against big countries are never implemented.
- there is no equality in the United Nations.
- United Nations resolutions should be binding for all nations.
- He praises Obama speech and thinks that other president after Obama will not be like him. Says Obama is the beginning of change.
- Says America is not Jerusalem or Mecca – why meet in America? UN should be moved away from New York. His personal doctor was denied visa.
- UN security council should be called terror council.

Despite his rambling on and on I feel he raised pertinent issues that need to be addressed if the UN is to execute its mandate effectively. What do you about the issues he raised?

This guy is really serving them. Close to an hour of pure venom-spewing marathon. But putting things in perspective, the guy has raised some poignant issues which need to be looked into. Compensation for colonization[whole 7.7trillion $],moving UN Hq from US to a more central location where security issues won't overshadow everything else,Security Council getting rid of Vetos to induce some sense of equality etc. One thing he should try doing next time he makes a visit to the UNGA,have his speech prepared. His lecture should have been in point form and not a theory where you have to try deciphering what he's trying to say.But i gez it's hard teaching an old dog new tricks,he's been lecturing for damn good 40yrs.At one point he was behaving kaa headmaster wa primo ya shags.

I caught the speech halfway and was astonished by some of the issues; jet lag, deaths of Kennedy his killer and the killer's killer. It sounded like a roadside impromptu speech

... A terrorist in the podium. US could not stand that and made every possible effort to ensure that Obama had long left before the self imposed African leader spoke...

Who told you libyans are suffering. Can you compare them with Kenya. Libya is one of few countries in the world with no slums. Everyone owns a home. Do your homework. Only that there is no democracy but they have a leader who is proud. Not us Kenyas always looking for an opportunity to meet Obama.

And what was he thinking pitching a tent in the middle of New York?
