Skerians,I need your sincere advice. I am a high school teacher but I feel I have lost steem. I am ready to leave my job even without any benefits.
I intend to register a company to perfom two tasks,sale of computers especially to the teachers and educational consultancy services.
I have two requests,one,where can I get good deals especially for used laptops. I have some little experience since I have already started small time,but the fellows I buy them usually have very low stocks.
On the consultancy,what licences shall I require and how shall I get them?

@Newcomer............For new comps,try Mitsuminet,for second hand laptops,there is a place in town where I got one for 28,000. It is a Core 2 duo. Let me search for the receipt and give you directions. Register your business name at Sheria house (Embu kuna Sheria house ama unaenda kwa DO?)and then ask me for other requirements..............When Gekko harasses you,don't worry,he does not know you nor does he have personal dislike for you. He was only trying to keep this thread going or he is bored. So don't lose hope.

When dealing with learners,a teacher takes extreme care so as not to bring down a learner's self esteem. We make learners to imagine very high achievements,no wonder eskerians are at the top of the world.
To achieve this,a teacher has to assume very many of the learners mistakes. A teacher only corrects mistakes that relate to the particular subject,for example,a business teacher will not care if a child make spelling mistakes unless they bring ambiguity or create a different meaning.
As we discuss here,I realise the likes of mwatha and gekko must be products of great teachers. Such learners assume they know a lot,even more than the teacher,parents and everyone else. They think everyone else is ignorant.
I can only admire your teachers,get back to them and tell them thank you. Imagine making yourself appear stupid to a learner so as not to destroy his fragile ego,just for the learner to think he knows more than you!
Learners brought up that way tend to be achievers,especially in business. They are likely to be promoted faster than others. Unfortunately they are usually impatient with others. They display unnecessary arrogance. They are not likely to do well in politics and community leadership.
I have shared a bit of my world with you,pliz,take this lightly and lets get back to my topic,what consultancy licences are required and how do i go about getting them. Who is a reliable supplier of used and low priced laptops.Thanks

Mr. Newcomer,Sir,

You were doing well until you posted that very long post. Let me put it in a way a teacher would understand. You propose to leave the world of teaching which denotes student teacher relationship. If the student passes,you get paid. If the student fails,you get paid.

You wish to enter into the world of business,eh,entreprenuership. At this point,Mr. Gekko gave you a simple test. You make a sell,you get paid. If you do not make a sell,you do not get paid. You reacted like a teacher would and not,in my opinion as an entreprenuer. Which means,again in my opinion,you failed.

Please start again and make that sell to Mr. Gekko. Treat him like your very first customer. Make that sell. Convince us you are ready to be an entreprenuer and not a teacher.

Otherwise Kind Sir,go back to teaching and quit stockskenya.com

@aemathenge
The word you need in this context is 'sale' not 'sell.' I am glad you are not a teacher

@Mwatha and Lizard:
Give the guy a break. If he is such a terrible teacher,then leaving the profession is good for all concerned,no? I mean,what harm can he do in IT?

@a new guy
A consultancy license is not your biggest problem (by the way you don't need one,a business registration should serve quite well). However you are entering a very different world from that of 'look here children.' You will need an attitude restructuring. Read Mathenge's post again.

Best of luck.
