Ask for the vendors businessday newspapers and also vintage real estate newspaper called castles weekly and feed your eyes on them.
For shopping go tShoprite /Game on Lekki Expressway, Victoria Island. The other good alternatives are Mega Plaza (in Victoria Island) and park and shop (also in victoria Island).
You can equally go to Tafawa Balewa Square the former Uhuru park equivalent in Kenya. If you are adventurous like me take a BRT (Bus Rapid Transport System) from Tafawa Balewa Square to Ojota. Also make the reverse journey from Ojota in the mainland to Tafawa Balewa Square (popularly called TBS).
On your way ask for National Stadium which is Nyayo stadium equivalent in NBI.
Also visit Onikan a close distance from Tafawa Balewa square, ask for Muson Center which is KICC of NJairobi equivalent in Lagos, and visit KFC (Kentucky fried chichen) on the mall opposite muson center.

From Lekki Phase 1 , Shoprite is not too far.
You can equally go to Spar supermarket located down on Lekki Expressway after Lekki Phase1.

There has been no incidence of Boko Haram in Lagos.

It is mainly in northern Nigia ie from Abuja Upwards.

Be aware KQ office in Lagos is located in Feyide House, plot 23 Engineering Close, OFF IDOWU TAYLOR STREET, Victoria Island, Lagos, not too far from Lekki phase 1. The branch manager there is a Kenyan , at least you will be able to see a Kenyan living and working in Lagos.

Within Lekki Phase 1, there is an eatery called Tantalizers, you can have a feel of Nigerian food, it is located on Admirality Way which is the main drive way of Lekki Phase 1.
Should you like to take a motor bike popularly called Okade , let it be only within Lekki Phase 1, and take the one that is a registered member, they were a green apron with inscription Lekki Phase 1 Motorcyclist (Okada) association.

...How? How do you visit a country and not sample the night life, unless you want to tell us that Lagos is worse than Mogadisho!
