Now what's all this? Isn't the school violating the child's basic human right by denying her education?

There were some parents who sued Kenya High over the same issue; can anyone remember what the court ruled?

If it was for the school, I think the parents should go to the supreme court and claim that their child is being denied the basic right to education.

Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

"Eddah Gachukia, a renowned educationist filed an affidavit stressing that school uniforms enhance unity in school. According to her, it would breed inequality and make it difficult for children to integrate."

“If every religious sect is allowed a dress code, the commonness created by school uniform shall cease and groups of students professing the same sect shall dress in similar manner thereby disintegrating the uniform dress code,” she argued.

The arguments are getting convincing. From the renowned educators.

Soon, certain distinctive liberties we currently enjoy because of our beliefs will be gone so that humanity will be as one, unity starting at home and then unity abroad.

The Muslim and their hijab, the Akorino and their head gear, and next the Seventh Day Adventist and their Saturday all must be cut down to size to fit into this unity.

Interesting times are ahead.

And on the other side of the island... we are busy fighting parents who have refused to take their children to school because of "religious" beleifs
