Do you need a WEBSITE? Before choosing a designer sample their portfolio

Most people do not ask their web designers a sample of their work before engaging their services.
This is a recipe for disaster and frustration.
Recently i got a call from one man in Meru. From the tone of his voice, it was evident that he was a frustrated man.
What had happened is that he went ahead and paid some 10k to a web designer who turned out to be a student. Guess what else happened.

To cut the story short, every time you need a website, visit the designer's website's portfolio (which is mandatory), sample his/her works and make that call.
