Has anyone in wazua installed a HIPO fuel saver in their cars. Apparently there it is a simple device that can help save fuel by about 30% without affecting the car's performance. The distributor of the gadget is Kanex communications,0722571078, www.kanexgroup.com.

Please let us know if any of you guys have had a good experience with this device. It could help us to manage the skyrocketing pump prices...

Its central tube, mineral clay formation consists of a lot of mineral elements refined from the nature that can absorb energy from its surrounding at normal temperature and release energy in the form of infrared rays. It generates a specific light wavelength having the frequency similar to that of fuel. When fuel passes through, far infrared rays cause resonance with fuel molecules. It activates and ionizes fuel molecules in the fuel lines thus causing the fuel molecules to vibrate rapidly against each at 64,000 vibrations per seconds. As the result, cluster of fuel molecules break into more tiny molecules that enable more intake of oxygen and combustion becomes more efficient and more complete at lower ignition temperature, therefore, increase mileage and horsepower of engine and reduce air pollution drastically. It also helps to clean –up carbon built – up in the engine and hence, prolong the life span of the engine with less maintenance.

Dispersed Fuel Molecules that carries negative ions can mix with oxygen molecules easily. This ensures a more complete combustion, more power and reduce toxic emission drastically.

This is a laughable explanation. You don't need a degree in physics to tell that this is complete BS; In addition, I have trouble believing that some external party can invent fuel saving mechanisms which your car manufacturer apparently hasn't discovered, yet they spend billions on R&D. If this was for real, it would be appearing in some models already.

As long as there have been cars, there have been gadgets that promise revolutionary improvements in performance and mileage. And every time there's a spike in fuel prices, these gadgets proliferate like mushrooms after a spring rain

Perhaps before dismissing this gadget it may help to investigate further. Apparently there were testimonies from happy motorists aired on KTN a few months ago....or could this have been stagemanaged?

Seriously @Findel, would you believe the explanation they have offered there on how the device works?

Depends on who writes the paragraph..There are students who instead of answering a straight forward question in one line use all kind of complicated phrases imagining they will impress the teacher...( potential customers in this case) I also think this paragraph could be a translation from a foreign language...leading to loss in clarity.

@ballistic: Are you going to risk some hard earned Kshs on it? Please come back and tell us how it goes if you do.

A while ago somebody tried to sell me such a thing at Ksh10,000. Before I could part with my hard earned chapaa, I insisted we do an experiment. The damn thing had no effect on fuel consumption and I therefore declined to buy it. So, make sure you are not dealing with a con.

My take. If this thing was real, don't you think the vehicle manufacturers would install them? I mean, they are all looking to cut fuel costs!

In the early days of mobile phones, we were made to stick some devices which were supposed to absorb some dangerous rays that would cause us cancer. I later lend an article that said that if anything, those stickers were likely to increase the radiations but not reduce. Most likely this is a similar hoax, bora pesa itoke

very true, if you want a car that has best fuel consumption, go for the hybrid toyota prius. Toyota is also set to launch toyota aqua model that has aan approximate mileage of 40km per litre

Aren't these the same TV network that aired a guy who claimed to have a gadget that generates electricity to charge a battery, then uses the battery to drive a motor, which in turn runs the generator...ad infinitum...

That HIPO thing runs in the same line: Complete, utter, absolute, diabolical rubbish.

But if you have money to waste, go ahead and buy it... just like the people who add something called "motor honey" to their oil, thereby ruining the delicately blended reagents in the oil!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@Mukiha,
Rubbish you haven't heard....There is another here on shell bla bla...and when asked to state why he thinks we should buy that shell miracle fuel,he ain't got no hard facts (or figures) other than,"Go try it yourself).Prove can only be found if we have RdON,AKI,MON or RON tests carried out to determine that.....well.NO NEED.Maybe blending unleaded gasoline with a little gnu urine gets you the miracle fuel...smile .
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Hapo basi! All these manufacturers with their R&D departments would surely have come across such technology.
