smile they say that inflation is at 16%,yet this game happens every 5 years before elections, first comes drought then excess rain then elections, maybe we should learn from this trend and be prepared.

investing in fixed deposits at the bank is a safeway to save but it hurts when you have to break your fixed depost because of an emergency and you loose all the intrest for the period your money was in the bank.

there is a better option for a person wanting to fix their money and get all the intrest any time they want to withdraw and its called MONEY MARKET

drop me an email at ruth.njuguna@icea.com to view more on this better option
let your money survive inflation by investing it wiselyLaughing out loudly

From here http://icea-investments....nit-Trust-Brochure.html the returns from ICEA money market fund is just 8%. How will that beat 16% inflation?
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

due to the inflation many investors in equity funds/bond funds and growth funds are switching to the money market fund where their invested capital is secure so with the hard economic times they will not loose, with more funds to invest in money market instruments the intrest keeps increasing as it is compounded intrest,so your money will wilt out the inflation,i hope i answered your question mukiha

As mukiha said, how does that beat inflation? It doesnt even account for the managmnt fee. Also for ur sake, i hope u know that inflation is compounding as well. So if ur telling me 8% compounding will "wilt" 16% inflation which is also compounding then i suggest u go do some hesabu again.
