Hey Wazuans i am introducing a very different Topic but also important. Is anyone there who is a believer and whose faith is tied with Christianity? if so can we share our views, questions and answers, and encouragements through this site. Is someone out there who is aware of a prophet in the land whose messages is totally different from our own pastors and Bishops? what is your views about these?

Talking of prophets, do we still have prophets today? If my CRE is anything to go by, I thought we were taught that there will be no other prophets.

I am not saying this with authority of the Word. Reading from Rev 22:18-19, there is no one who can add to what is said in the Bible. There are no modern-day prophets who can be compared to the Old Testament prophets; God could reveal Himself to them and talk to them His will. Most of the prophets talked of the Savior to the world (read Jesus Christ). Since He has come and died on teh cross for our atonement of sins, there was no other major prophecy. John the apostle, in the garden of Patmos prophesied about the last days. The argument, therefore, if there is any prophecy to be made, it is that of repentance, which is what is preached in the pulpit. Is this prophecy? If anyone in this forum can shed more light on this, I will also be grateful.

There can only be false prophets! And thou shall not jugde. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

Read Ephesians 4:11 onwards, also read 1st Cor 12:4-11,27-31. Prophecy still exists. Yes, maybe modern-day prophets may not be compared to Old Testament ones, but that doesnt mean they dont exist. Are you asking are there still profits after the global financial crisis? Yes I still think that there's a great deal of profits to be made... or...
Do you mean is there anyone out there telling people to stop listening to foolish talk, false prophecy, and "theologians" books, and to just READ their bibles and follow what it says, and not what men say?
Uhhh.....
Doubtful.
It's funny how everything seems to fall apart right around Deuteronomy, where no one in existence today seems to follow the bible's instructions on how tithing and interest works ;)
But God's word still stands. But will we?
Best,
Hill
