As i listened to one analyst i could not believe he was rating the nse poorer than the likes of egypt, tunisia just to mention but a few.brethren lets give ourselves some hope..my question...is it true the second best bourse in africa for 2010 is now the worst?..why the sharp change in only 6months?.. what remedial measures can be taken?..can interim dividends reverse this.?.going by what we can see a crush is posible towards elections...pls lets give each other some hope. BUY BUY BUY Exactly what I'm doing. Now that Kibs signed the electoral and boundaries bill, I'm confident the elections next year will be free and fair and you'll never see the prices you're seeing now in the NSE. So if you're in it for the long-term then this is the best time to get in. BBI will solve it :)

The NSE is very attractive right now since most big investors are concentrating with the G-sec right now, which have guaranteed short term returns. For those individual investors who dont have an annual target this is the market to be,if you have an annual target you will get seriously burnt this yr, because institutional investors will be moving out in masses or bidding lower so as to cash out by yr end if the market rebounds from inflows of election campaign money. @selah i also expect corporates to go the way of G-Securities as the rates have n will continue to rise. this will again reduce their lending levels to wanjiku which will spill over to the bourse where selling will outdo buying...i dont expect a bull any time soon n will capitalise on playing the ipo's

How lucky with the inflation and the beating the Ksh is taking. I think lucky are the ones buying shares now and the ones who own or are buying land now. BBI will solve it :)

I strongly believe the biggest mistake the wider investment public is making is concluding that the politics of the OLD is same as the NEW constituition. LET'S GET IT!!

Who listens to analysts?
If analysts are dogging the NSE, it just means that the NSE and its listed companies don't bribe analysts... in other words, it's not Wall Street (and that's a good thing). Like I say, a good, clean stock exchange.
Make your own judgments based on your own data and analysis.
If it were that easy- to just listen to analysts- everyone would be rich (or more likely, poor).
Be gutsy and focus on investing in, and demanding accountability from, well-run companies and their management teams, not wagging tongues.
Best,
Hill
