Have you thought of building your dream home in a secure residential community where the best security technology is incorporated? From access control systems at the gates, to surveillance cameras throughout the estate, augmented with constant security patrols?
Services include adequate water, electricity, ICT infrastructure, sewerage systems to your plot? Landscaping throughout the estate provides a wonderful outdoor environment for children to play and make friends?
Low picket fences, well manicured lawns, surround providing unobstructed views to Mt Kilimambogo and on a clear day to Mt Kenya giving you that sweet natural feeling of life? A controlled development plan ensures the built environment remains pleasing through time. Get to buy this plot been sold at Thika greens at a low price of Kshs 2 000 000 and you will end up enjoying all this.

@Harmar: Has anything actually been built at Thika Greens yet? Have seen prices rise from 900k to 2M over the past year or so, but yet to hear of a single person who has actually moved there / built there. Please enlighten me if I am wrong. Some pics would help smile

Too expensive for nothing, if I was asked. Here is a case of the well-off milking those trying to come.

But it is a free world ..... and we make our decisions.

[This is been milked by the haves] Very true @Abby. Imagine here at Isiolo now plots are 650k (100ft X 100ft, 3yrs ago they were going for 25k on allotment letters from County Council of Isiolo) just because 3 popular GEMA MPs have bought ranches 7km away from Isiolo town, on the Meru County side and the Resort City Speculations, everything now EXPLODES!!!!!!!!!

With property its always a buy buy situation.Wait till next year.Doubt you will get the same @5m.
Prices escalate cause there is demand and with Thika being one of the most industrialised town within the County prices will go up for sure.

What real estate agents do is give a false perception of a locality tactfully exaggeration the anticipated features and stealthily hike land prices. on the thika green thing, the developers can only sell the "controlled development" idea. the rest unless they have done the internal roads and sewer lines which (can only be possible if its close to the existing sewer lines, otherwise doing a sewer line is prohibitively costly), the plot owners shall finance.
At kshs 2m why dont you buy 5 acreas past juja farm and subdivide.

I agree with Abby's sentiments. Besides, the gated community etc etc means that you give away your rights to privacy and the occassional eccentrity needs such as erecting a green statue of your grandfather in your garden!
