I think KPLC is now another KenyaRE,or kengen as long as the govt has majority shareholding the share will not be all that promising. '......to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' Colossians 2:2-3

It can only have access to these things with G.O.K as a major shareholder so that it is considered a parastatal.. Otherwise @2012 is right about KPLC.. The share price will explode as a result of tarriff reviews in july set to boost revenues and profits through the roof Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

Kudos on the pre-paid meters @KPLC

Kudos on the pre-paid meters @KPLC If kengen does not meet the required supply quota they cough up billions to KPLC.. Plus we pay for supply to kengen, mumias, tsavo ,aggreko and the many more who will come & take kengens market share from them in the coming years Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

No rush to buy KPLC...this years PAT will be in the range 5-15%...new tarriffs and prepaid meters will only impact next years bottomline...to me this is a LONG TERM BUY.

Disclaimer: Haven't seen ALL research reports so not making a blanket judgement...but many are quite banal and weakly argued.

@Aguytrying, the projected profit growth is little to make one rush to the broker

mwekez@ji wrote:@Aguytrying, the projected profit growth is little to make one rush to the broker i'd rather a company that grows at 15% and can sustain the growth, than one that grows 90% and cant sustain. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself
