hi guys
Is there any broker in kenya who facilitates purchase of shares at DSE. I would like to buy some shares there.

good luck! If you thought Kenyan brokers were lethargic, these guys are even worse!

Try SIB, otherwise try one of the brokers there. As one of my Tanzanian friend warned before I went there, its easier to get your money in. Much harder to get it out. I had to go there in person.

And for IPOs, TZians won't allow a Kenyan to take part directly.

That exchange is dead, hardly anything trades, and prices barely move.

Been looking at analysis of Tanzanian listed banks and cement stocks analysis and they are really undervalued compared kenyan ones.

NMB bank interested me. This is the equity bank of Tanzania and is the bank that will give equity bank a run for their money when they enter tanzania

BTW, you can only invest in SOME stocks... So foreigners buy into the 'pricey' counters not the good stuff!

Also careful coz of illiquidity, you may pay the high prices just coz brokers will not move the price down [even if needed] i.e. they will REFUSE to bid for you at lower prices even if there are zero bids!

Happened to me. Never returned there. Bure Kabisa!
