20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded[a] to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.

24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,

“Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”


Cover up your brother's nakedness.

Often I fall into the trap of laughing at or ridiculing those in the army of Christ who have fallen by the wayside or who have succumbed to temptation.

In this case, Noah had failed, he was drunk and was misbehaving. His son Ham came by only to laugh at him and try magnify the shame that Noah was already in.

Same as what am oft quick to do. I hear someone messed up, I laugh and rush to gossip with friends about him/her.

How I pray that God could help me be like Shem and Japheth. I wont laugh. I will first cover my brother's shame before taking any further actionPray Pray

But kenyans (i.e not Jews) would rather tithe 10% of their income to pastors (who are not levites) and 'ministries' all the while believing they are serving God.

What a tragedy.
