According to the bussines daily, eveready plans to close the nakuru factory, send the over 170 staff parking and outsource batteries from cheap sources..surely a soft exit or is it workable?...do you still have faith to buy or hold?...did smith smell it to quit?...what other business can they do?...do they have capital reserves?many questions.

Tough. Outsorcing is the only way out definitely. The cost of zinc is sky high and counterfeits are flooding the market and our government will do nothing about it. Factory closure is not a good sign but what to do. its a little late for them to think of other businesses to do now. They should have started doing that some time back when the writing was on the wall. I read somewhere on this forum that they were thinking of going into diapers production. Sounds chizzy but I hear that its making some people alot of money. They need to use that factory for something anyway. I pity the 170 families represented there.

Parting shot...only retain what you can comfortably loose here.
