Who sold and who bought the 2.6m shares that exchanged at 60 this morning?

I think there must be guys who know that CFC is a goldmine at 60 and below. They will see it rise all the way to 90

Indeed deals like these shld inform us thats we have a bottom on the price and it cannot deviate more that 60 bob goin down.
coz i dnt think such a large sum of money >120 million shillings can buy if price will go DOWN futhure where it will be even more more cheap.
i agree we have a bottom of CFC decline..
i is now secure to get in now.

i totally agree....i remember @ mwanahisa ( funny name if u ask me Laughing out loudly)calculating it true value after its split from the insurance firm and he came out with a ksh50 - 60 range for the price.
he shld tell us more when he logs on..

On CFC Stanbic Bank, yes I would like to take Pkoli on this a little further but as he says let's wait for Q1 results. On the basis of past performance, CFC Stanbic Bank is certainly not worth 90 especially when compared to its peers. I am certainly not holding my breath for a super performance in Q1 2011. However, they are pretty good at Forex trading, so I will be watching that!

Note it's a closely held share and as you may have observed in the case of CFC Insurance Holdings, the actions of major shareholders for such shares can easily send the share price to levels that are not deserved, especially on the higher side.

Don't be too quick...whoever bought si mtu anashida za unga, maziwa na mkate ya daily... This person could be thinking 2yrs+ unless you are ready to hold out as well, then chances of getting burnt in the short term are HIGH!!

you arent getting my logic. i mean to say that even if the share price will go low it woun't be by a huge margin from 60.00 that this transaction was made at yet again even if he's a billionare why get in now knowing that the price will fall even futhure below.He/she cld have waited for a much much cheaper price as you envision.
i think i can call a bottoming on cfc. so you say the price might hit below 50 ??? lets wait and see

Except for Bond Trading Income... I do not think CFCStanbic can match the top 5 [or maybe even likes of Citibank, DTB, NIC or I&M]

So if you strip out "Other Income" the PBT will lower than the Tier 2 banks even though it has assets comparable to Tier 1 banks!
