The Star headline of yesterday, 18/5/2011 shows just how painfully slowly the wheels of justice spin in this country. Lakini its encouraging. The five young souls snuffed out by kwekwe/eagle squad remind me painfully of the brilliant Robert Kariuki. He was 2 years ahead of me in primary school at Malindi Central Primary. He was a talented footballer left full back who got a calling to Harambee Stars during Fabisch's days.
The cold blooded murder of these guys, ridding on Kariuki's tuktuk should not go unpunished. Finally the inquest magistrate has delivered a ruling worth mentioning, those cops must stand trial for murder of five young Kenyans. To the families of these guys this is just the beginning of a long struggle for justice.
