ITN :
"Opposition leader Raila is trying to play it (post-election violence) all down"A LAUGHING Raila Odinga:
"This violence can be caused by anything. An example of a football match where fans of Man Utd fight fans of Chelsea and so on."ITN:
"Burning churches and mass murder have more in common with the spectre of rwanda than football matches"!!Raila then belatedly condemns the violence.
- END QUOTE -

NB: Mr Raila Odinga's comments were made during the initial phase of PEV where pro-ODM attackers were slaughtering suspected pro-PNU communities. Suspected pro-PNU attackers engaged in revenge attacks in later phases of the Kenyan 2008 PEV.
