This is a good share for speculators or short term investors Somens comment on BD the other day made me realise how foolish I was to invest in this company.

A CMC kind of restructuring is required to bring a fresh impetus on this company.They are getting a beating from telcos and the management is unwilling to look for new revenue streams their only concerns is on controlling cost in a very fresh and unexploited market.

I think your investment model is quite informed @7bob it was a wise move to buy.

It called the price paradox of stocks, where traders buy at higher prices anticipating even higher prices, as opposed to commodities where the more the price the less is bought.

@mlennyma
Stop bragging, you may still make a loss. This upward trend has no fundementals pushing it and may reverse any time.

AK got a lease of life with the delay (again) by Airtel to roll out 3G. When Airtel finally gets going, then the price wars will begin. How will AK compete against Safaricom & Airtel.

BTW, nimesikia that Wananchi is ramping up the installation of fiber for Triple Play...

AK & telkom kenya also are in it....safaricom might be caught flat footed.

@VVS can they compete now with Safcom alone as Airtel 3G is still down?. I doubt. My take is that even if Airtel never launches its 3G Access will still have a hard time competing with safcom and TKL.

Safaricom has a much larger footprint. Triple Play is good but not mobile [the way I understand it works as regards fiber].

AK's market is limited to fiber [which Safaricom & Airtel can attack with other offerings] which has Tangerine & Wananchi as providers as well.

AK's strength is 'corporate' but others are also fighting for this market. IMHO, AK lost the plot when they charged 60k for a connection/equipment...

hahahahahahha. @aguy . please stop makin me laugh....yani you think in this bear i can shout buy buy buy buy buy buy ???? ehhhhhhh ! its suicidal. did you note that the volumes today drastically reduced.
we are goin to be having very very very very ,many of these "rallies" coz basically after the stock market is very much oversold it will do a relief rally...
my average price for access kenya is in the teens and i cannt sell just yet.
there's a tough resistance at 10.00 thats the ipo price and i expect it to go back down if it reaches there. so if you were lucky you bought in the 7.00 ranges just bank your 30% profit at 10.00
