This means the supplier is more than demand.WHY? Share is trading ex-div today hence the drop in price. Share will split at the end of May, so nothing to excite the market for now. I actually like BBK at this price 57-60. It means it has dropped by more than the dividend and I expect a reasonable growth in Q1 PAT, although not necessarily from growth in the loan book. It's a BUY in my books for the non-aggresive investors. Worst case is that if the mkt tanks, Barclays is unlikely to drop too much.

I thought those who own shares by the midnight of 15-Mar-2011 are qualified for didvidends . When do one qualify for the share split? I have seen that the daily price list from the NSE indicates 30th March as the date for books closure for the split. However, I trust the BBK circular as it is issued by Judy Nyagah, the Company Secretary of Barclays Kenya.
