Hi Guys

Having a problem engaging from gear P to D. I have to press shift lock most of the times to move from P to D. Sometimes it will move without having to press shift lock. I know I need to step on the breaks. My ABS light comes on and off erratically. Anyone had this problem before I take it to a mech. Or anybody who knows a good toyota mech who can handle this.

First place to check.....Confirm if your gearbox oil level is correct......As for the ABS light, you need to confirm the underside of your car is clean.Could be a sensor being "locked out"....Good luck mate.

How long have you had the car? It seems that the car has suffered poor maintenance. Just have all the fluids checked and a full vehicle check.
