planned expansion of mombasa road will affect the standard group offices among others. Why does the CEO smell some uvundo? How is the SG share likely to be affected if this action comes to pass? I care!

it is not SG targeted. sameer should be complaining more, it's only that KTN highlighted their premise more than the rest.

In my opinion he has been a disaster for them. On the demolition of their building they should be happy it at least give them an opportunity to put up a building and get rid of that chav experiment. Have to agree, Melly is one peculiar guy....remembered the other day when they were rebranding live on air and the way he was trying to hype up guys on the KTN presenters line up, it was like a scene from a very bad documentary. Think he should just be in the background, somewhere. Entrepreneurship is a cognitive bias. They can’t teach it to you.

Problem is Kenyans do not follow planning regulation. If you check on Plan, Libra house is spared because it has a service lane infront. Access to Mombasa road to individual plots not acceptable. They have a service road behind those plots which they choose not to use. This is an Ongata Rongai situation where town develops along the road in unacceptable manner. As for the guys in Construction Industry and Land speculators, they are looking at the scenario with glee.

This plan was set in 2002 and affects the whole highway right up to Kikuyu. So this means they will demolish Nakumatt Mega, Nyayo Stadium, Parliament, both Safaricom Houses on Waiyaki Way etc. It will never happen. Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

I don't get the fuss. The gov't has every right to take your property for the national interests and to compensate you accordingly. Remember, the land in kenya belongs to the people of kenya, not to ktn. If i were them I would start looking for another plot. But i think their game plan is to make noise in facebook and hire katwa kigen as the lawyer. We all know how successful that strategy is. One Quetion. Why is it that the buildings 'targeted' are very recent developments on Msa Road. Where KTN built was a Kobil Petriol station for ages. The Sameer buildings were built on an area where firestone never touched for years. There must have been some deal that went on na sasa, it is time to pay. Libra house has been there for years. Just because someone did not do the job he was paid to do does not mean there is foul play. Its been said time and time again, confirm before you build. Noise making will not take you anywhere. Ask Nakumatt. Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Question, is it only the SG place that has been earmarked for demolition ama kuna zingine that will be affected (without talking about Libra Hse)? If there are others, then there's no malice. Watu wahame. Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca
