Why aren't some stocks like Centum and MSC feeling even a bit of the warmth from the heat being generated by the rest of the bourse? They have just been slipping down as the rest rise. I need these guys to wake up from their slumber as they're the only ones showing red (negative equity) on my portifolio.

Centum is a dead company.Ever since they reduced their quoted portfolio significantly that was it.
Real estate has no money. The projects they plan are white elephants they do not have the money to undertake

Indeed CFC finishes with turnover at 113M on 2.53M shares @45. CFC has created a large range base (40 - 50) since March 2011. With the volume spikes between 2011 and 2012 and today, the share is still range bound. When a stock bases out for too long when the breakout comes...

KCB has now broken out of 31.50 ready to vault above 33/- as it closes @32.75/- on heavy turnover.

Kengen closes @10.10 which is above the 2012 high. Getting ready to fly away before I finish my accumulation orders Sad

ARM touched a high of 60/- (presplit = 300). But just like mpesa bank, I think that is the top out level for now.

EABL touched 297. 300 is definitely going to trade soon.

The counters that are in free space (all time highs) are ARM, NMG, BAT and KCB. Are there any other?

Must be the same madeemoni that made my broker buy half the order I'd placed, before the price took off. Anyways, half a loaf is better than none

For Centum, a cloud of uncertainty hangs over the Sh 4B tax demand on the associated bottlers and potential impairment of KWAL. Price will not move till these are resolved.

UAP, Deacons, Family Bank have been (publicly) talking of listing. And NSE.

The brewers dog fight - http://www.theeastafrica.../-/avchnsz/-/index.html

EABL bid fest started after the Ethiopian special agreement deal in Nov 2012. Otherwise the share price would have paused @220 or slide as this coming dog fight indicates a market reorganization. So @292 EABL share price is pricing Ethiopia entry otherwise its current fundies do not support this share price elevation.

UAP is a candidate for 2014 - "18-24 months". That leaves us with Deacons, Family Bank and NSE. 4 more to the targeted 7
