Its very tricky to play this share now... You may sell then the price shoots due to puma, or not, or yes... aaaaargh. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

This may save the share from serious beating though we are waiting at 9.80! The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

It may take a while for kk to recover its reputation. Oil retailer s are similar to airline stocks.

Since this is like poker now, i wonder what card KK management have up their sleeve. They must have anticipated what will happen with this news, and related it with the take over . I also noted (though it might be nothing) the talk of a full takeover has disappeared from the media and KK as well. Like in half yr results, Segman used the word "strategic investor"... The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Very few companies in kenya can make this huge loss and stand. "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

I prefer a buy-out at a fair price (18 or higher) but with the BS by the employees, perhaps Puma will just buy out 49% of the shareholders so become the de facto 'control' while KK remains listed as KK. Selling shares to Puma is allowed. A pity if we can't get to sell out at a higher price coz the BS by employees. Legally, KK remains KK. OR Puma buys shares in KK like Helios did in Equity so they become significant shareholders. It achieves their goal/s but as existing shareholders we are stuck since the best exit for us will be a buy-out. All that said... KK will remain profitable & so being a shareholder in an expanded KK is not a bad idea. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Whatever is going on with the hedging and exchange losses greatly threatens profitability going forward! Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

Its in black and white that, going forward, the management is optimistic. Watch KK make money in H2 2012!

The takeover is ON, good thing. KK has all along referred to Puma as a strategic investor. And indeed Puma is a strategic investor when you consider the value it will add to KK

Good bye mate. Too bad you are exiting at such a time when there is material negative news. 10% rule is waived. We'll bid you at the bottom of the barrel. Havent heard from @stocksmaster, he has a significant holding at this counter .
