The last I heard / saw was a minor change where the road meets the eastern bypass. It seems to be running on the boundary of Kenyatta's land and former Githunguri ranching land.

an animal orphanage is coming up along the eastern bypass. about 4-5 kms from thika road, on the left hand side. the land has got an electric fence around it and the admin block is currently under construction. am sure you can guess the owners.
there is also a road touching the orphanage, which will connect the eastern bypass to the greater eastern bypass. was there this weekend

THE GREATER EASTERN BYPASS starts at Lukenya crosses Kangundo Road towards Kilimambogo and stops at Garissa Road. Still in its initial stages since mapping and aerial photography is what is currently ongoing (as of May, 2011).

At what point does it cross Kangundo road? I did an exploratory tour on saturday on that road and a land agent was intimating that its 4 kilometeres from Kamulu on your way to Tala? Another agent told me it will pass near Iteere's farm.

Was there jana, and we got good deals. 40*80plots going for 180k pay in 4 installments, the land has a mother title, most of the other lands we saw do not have even mother titles. The Greater eastern bypass has already been graded, and though we dint reach the garissa road side, im told construction is underway from that side.
Since these ones are abt 200Mtrs from this bypass I can only imagine the future when the bypass will be tarmacked..... you can let me know if you need to book a piece. muthoniruthie@gmail.com

wow! prices have started going up. some 1/8 acre commercials near joska kantafu going for 250k early this year are now fetching 500k. meanwhile juja farm area code plots are now going for as much as 800k (daykio). in oct last year they were going for about 300k. all thanks to the greater eastern bypass

Let keep in the light guys, i have been there for than uncountable times, it touches the Kangundo road and stretches across Juja farm area, and passes near Kamuthi coop society land in Thika.
Infact the Chinese are nearing to excavate the Juja farm area, conspicuous recent markings around.

I thought this road was still in design phase, when was the design completed and project awarded to the Chinese. If the design is complete who has the latest map showing the route.
