I've read that story and it's so sad. I can only echo what the writer has said: "May God save our country and those countries affected!!!!"

In the meantime; The Canadian government has begun providing its experimental drug VSV-EBOV to the World Health Organization.WHO Considering Use of Canadian Ebola Vaccine in West AfricaAnti-Ebola vaccine and drugs arriveQuote:...Canada is sending about 800 to 1000 doses of an experimental vaccine known as VSV-EBOV to West Africa to help the World Health Organisation to fight the Ebola epidemic. The vaccines would be distributed through the WHO in West Africa, to Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Liberia and Guinea. The VSV-EBOV vaccine was developed at Canada’s national microbiology laboratory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

Stupidity of the highest degree. How many new infections will this generate? It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt... -Mark Twain

Liberians are generally very vocal and up front people! they should really loud but their problem is just one - they are quite ignorant and their shouting makes it worse as it exposes that ignorance. West Point is like the lowest place a human being can live on earth... it's a slum's slum! poverty like none seen before it lies next to what looks like a pleasant beach but.... it's just one huge open toilet! West Point is depressing to just look at and I do have a Kenyan friend working in there trying to provide sanitation (think about providing toilets to kibich located at a beach - pit latrines won't hack it!). But people living in west point are the poorest in a poor country like Liberia - you can place them on your scale of poverty.... really really poor and consequently ignorant people. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Forgive me people for not trusting these wazungus. Picture this: lab tests complete, trials on animals done, some on monkeys done.... Now wait, we don't know the result on human. Now we should try this on human. There's a plan, where are those sample virus in storage? Yeah, drop on in Guinea, choose a target, a boy. Let the thing spread, let it be a pendamic... Then we come in and offer a solution. We get the chance to try this vaccine on real humans. And we make money in the process. BINGO!!!!

Of course they are the source of some bad, they've lied to people before... talk of slavery, talk of invasions (today I'm not of referring to Palestine, but Iraq and chemical weapons etc), talk of inciting violence or sanctions to destabilize in order to push some political agenda... Talk of HIV virus with lies about "green monkeys"... So, let's say they finished the human test some times after 2003. What I'm saying, now is the time to test on the general masses... How? First you must have some outbreak... And if there is no outbreak, what do you do? I'm just saying

I am sorry to say I have been thinking along those lines all this through. Create a crisis, accelerate the process of the drug being "accepted" by WHO, make money chap chap and move on to the next virus.
