2 Miles wrote:The narration given by Nation was way too cheap. And please don't think am trying to over exaggerate issues. We are making so many assumptions 'bout this girl. Because , seriously , to meet the likes of Kabogo , you must have similar interests, or have friends of such interests. And they didn't meet at a rally. Kabogo wasn't on a meet the people tour. This was Wasini Luxury Homes. And if you have been there, there is one thing you know about this place. It is very exclusive and privacy is taken seriously!
Guys, if you are in a party , and you dnt partake alcohol, you decline politely. That is what is likely to happen. Its unlikely that you would start giving religious reasons, considering your friends , who took you to that party, are busy drinking!!
That story of what happened was given by her friends who attended the party. Considering they took her there and knew what the party was all about, they shouldn't be believed. They could give any account they choose to.
What I know for sure , is that this thread will continue for sometime until when we get on to something more pressing that will have come up. Police will give statements about what they will do and what they have done. And then , these story will come to an end. A Dead End. Because matters like this are not as simple as they look!!!!!!!!!!! ...Dead wrong..Keriako has to prosecute somebody if the cloud of incompetence hanging around him has to go. @2 Miles...Didnt you see Raila queueing to pay his taxes. This is a new dawn...There is the rule of law...Things are being done differently under a new constitution. I could be wrong...maybe I am too optimistic...time will tell...

Sometimes i feel so hard for parents who think that their children are so holy to do some things, a quote from standard newspaper - "But speaking in Eldoret, her father Mr Yusuf Keino said he knew his daughter well and she had never taken alcohol and it was, therefore, not possible she quarrelled with people at the party" - but the friends say she drank, reminds me of the other UoN student who was a thug and owned many guns yet the parents knew he was youth leader in their church who could not even think of guns Life is an endless adventure

@ Magigi , even if Keraiko is willing to prosecute , investigations have to be done. And that is the problem. Investigators in Kenya are not only ill equipped , but can also be easily compromised. Characters like Kabogo ( I am nt saying he is guilty )don't have to spend so much to put a matter like these to rest. Just havin a new constitution will not change anything. More has to be done. We have to invest in the recruitement process , to select people of high competence and also of intergrity. We have to invest in forensic labs and many other things.
There are so many things that could have caused the girl's death. As I have earlier mentioned , she might not be as good as we think. Her type of friends can tell you that. Maybe she was knocked. Even a novice will not dump a body in such a reckless way. But the police are making statements that really make you wonder. They make conclusions journalists can make.

Kenyans have joined the ranks of people infected by what is commonly known as the "CSI effect" where people want EVIDENCE and Science always wins, each crime scene is ridden with evidence, detectives are young, the investigations are quick and to the point and sleuths always get their man. the good new is that we are not the only one, studies have shown that in the CSI watchers have been terrible jury members in the US and cannot understand why it takes so long to get their man. the US justice system is getting the sharp end of the "CSI Effect". people are becoming unreasonable since they have gotten some "expertise" from watching detectives in NCIS, Bones, Numb3rs, CSI e.t.c. Do you know forensic science is one of the most popular courses in the US? wait until they graduate and get to the real life labs and are welcomed with a rude shock when they discover that the labs don't have electron microscopes, hologramatic displays of bones and sinew making up a dead victim and they need to process evidence for more than one case at a time. Do you know that the real Miami-dade police is 8th largest police department in the US with an annual budget of $548 million and more than 4,700 personnel solving all of Miami's crimes. CSI: Miami has a crew of 170 and an estimated budget of at least $3.5 million per episode for 24 epidodes solving one crime at a time. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

QW25071985 wrote:Bytheway is it kafogo or Kabogo ... . i love the way that k24 presenter calls Kabogo...lol....kikuyu kabisa. QW, Let me teach you some Kikuyu. In Kikuyu Language, there is no letter "F". letter "b" followed by the letters a,e,i,o,u... is pronounced as "f". That means that though the guys name and the correct speling is "Kabogo, the correct pronunciation in Kikuyu is "Kafogo". If you want to pronounce in Kikuyu the way everyone does, yo have to add letter "m" before letter "b" to make it "Kambogo". If K24 guys pronounce it as "Kafogo" they are the one's who are getting it right. Same case to our President. The correct spelling is Kibaki but the correct pronunciation is "Kifaki".
