Nabwire, how much are they up since you disposed of Simba?

Ata sikumbuki which day I sold Simba, if it was in the past 5 days, then its up 105%, if it was 2 weeks to a month ago, its up around 300% smile . In retrospect I should have disposed AOIFF at the same time coz the past two months its just been gaining double digit, today is the first day it has started losing Sad , so naturally I'm hesitant to sell, ama nifunge tu macho niseme liwe liwalo...LOL

Tullow Oil will spend about $800 million (Sh68 billion) in its next phase of investments in Kenya, it has disclosed.
The London-based firm,
which discovered oil deposits in Kenya’s South Lokichar Basin in 2012, says it expects onshore operations to go
large-scale.

Its no longer up by that much, it started tumbling on Tuesday when politicians started poking their noses. Its a big risk, but it would pay well if things go as planned. Right now the govt owns about 79% of it, and all dividends, so its making investors nervous coz the govt hasn't given any signs that they will return it to private ownership. Worst case is if the feds decide to keep it as a cash cow, then there will be a massive selloff, but judging by how the govt sold off its stake in AIG & GE, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same. Its tough coz report after report is that the stock will go to zero, so its really tough to swim against the current. This

“With these quasi agencies making so much money, it will be very difficult for the government to tell equity holders your claims are worth zero, a position previously assumed at the lows of the crisis,” said Andrew Brenner, head of international fixed income at National Alliance Capital Markets in New York.

and the fact that hedge fund managers are buying the stock, with one manager buying half a billion worth, I am holding it, though it raises my blood pressure several times.

Uganda's government can expect to earn $50 billion on behalf of its 35 million strong population from reserves already discovered over the lifetime of the fields, Tullow said - almost three years' worth of its $17 billion gross domestic product (GDP).
