Well, muscled out coz he has connections/corruption. The reason given was that KK/Engen were not 'local' whereas this guy used his connections to make the LSE-listed firm [majority non-Zimbabwean] a 'local' firm!

KK has not given up in Zimbabwe but has said they will go for smaller acquisitions & greenfield sites.

He he. Shingi owns 51% of Masawara and according to Zim's Indeginization laws all firms worth over USD1M must be 51% owned by a local so KK & Engen were promptly out on technicalities. Masawara's LSE, AIMs listing was purely to fundraise for Private Equity. Masawara, apart from it's 40% stake in TA, is generally interested in investing in resources/mining in ZIM. LSE is the best market to raise capital for mineral resource ventures. smile

For a company with adequate issued shares in the market it surely trades in-actively. Only H1's can save it.

Citizen tv liquid gold did not actually tackle the real issues I dont think its final episode today will do...Its too shallow and I wonder why it had to take 4 days for the feature to Air.

Did She expect NOCK MD to accept any Responsibility for all the mess In the Kenyan oil industry.

I found the feature not well researched she should have gone deeper Interviewing players in the industry would not reveal much. Most of the speculators can be revealed by good sources at KPC and KPRL .She need to get good reliable sources for such stories.

They never do. Remember the Wagalla massacre story? Useless reporting and cant even be called investigative journalism. As much as I don't like KTN they are way above the rest in this. Have you watched Inside Job TRAILER LINK. Simply great!

BBI will solve it

I have been away for sometime but just came back in time for a political meeting convened by MOE today at KICC. If the problem in oil is the supply bottlenecks why invite KMA, MOA etc or it was meant to preempt the parliamentary committee?

K-Card seems to be very in demand, got mine this Sunday at KK station in Hurlingham where they were signing up so many customers. They had to come out to sign people because their offices were being overwhelmed by motorists who wanted to partake in the 5shs Super Sunday offer. Nice touch having a pre-paid card, that's money in the bank for KK whether I fuel or not...

I got my cheque today. Apparently, Livingstone Registrars (unlike CRS) do not use the "global bank mandate" indicated at CDSC, since I get EFTs for other companies where CRS are the Registrars. I understand the cheques were posted on Friday, last week.

Did you see the lines out the door at KK locations on Sunday???
I admit 'losing' 5/- per litre hurts but I think the goodwill, etc from all those KK cards will benefit volume sales for KK...

I am not sure how it works but KK might eliminate the 'additional' discount & only have the 2/- discount with KK cards but 'lock-in' a huge number of customers!
