Some amazing facts on MSC after the interview with one respected Mr.Otolo MD mumias courtesy of NTV news.

1.Mumias will take approx 18 months to return to profitability after the bail out.

2.Mumias owes 6 financial institution 6.5Bn which they are unableble to service at the moment.

3.They plan to renegotiate the repayments by either:
a)restructuring the loan repayments to longterm ones
b)negotiating for an year waiver on repayments.

4.MSC is requesting GOK for a 2.5bn bail out,no response from GOK,though there are good signs (aka "we are certain but not sure" #chef).

5.They have resumed production to full throstle.

as heard to the best of my ears..

When was the interview? Link?

BTW, what does a 'bailout' mean? Does that mean the GoK cash into Mumias wipes out the existing shareholders' equity?

Easier to lose 1bob than to lose 100 bob.

Loans from CBA and Eco Bank to build the 5B ethanol plant. That is where the problem started.

6.5 billion! unserviceable loans. these gava firms will never cease to amaze. let them rebuild so that others can pull it down again in future.

Applause Applause Applause You nailed it. The 1 to 2 theory is for speculators but this only works if you can buy cheap & sell expensive... In other words, find a goat to chinja instead of being chinja'd

And the prophets of doom continue. If they know who is involved then they should do something about it.
