@Tokyo and @Washiku what was the purpose of highlighting this story, to discuss the boy? To discuss his family? To discuss the event?
The least you could have done is give a solution, instead of criticising me. Let us hear your solution to this problem.

@Tokyo and @Washiku I must tell you that I have the right to comment in this thread too. And I have the right to say what I feel I want to say.
If you don't want to read my post, please skip it.

We also have a right to respond when we feel like you are of the mark, don't we? Maybe I should put the question a bit more directly in few words. What did your response really mean? That if he was a Muslim things would have been different? Just make me understand.

I said I'm proud of the code of conduct I'm expected as a Muslim to observe. I said the conduct forbids me of "bad" lifestyles, any kind of things that are potentially harmful or lead to corruption in society.

And I said to young men, who can afford to get married, should marry. And I said this will be a means of restraining the eyes from casting an evil glance and keeping one pure and chaste.

And I gave further recommendations. I'm not forcing anyone to follow them.

So I offerred a solution.

And I said failure to follow them would to things like having unlawful relationships, pornographic material etc.

Where am I off the mark???

You see you are entitled to your opinion too.
You can tell the youth to do what you think will help them avoid this kind of things happening. Like some of those photos you are fond of posting. Some are naked women, teaching them to lust after the naked bodies. Does your Bible teach that?

@Wamapisha... Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Nude photos? Is this guy serious? I give up. I thought part of the code is truth.

I even wondered why you were trying to make sense of islam? To me its all about greed. The men who came up with it gave themselves permission to 'enjoy' many women. Marry four who can be divorced with just a few words. The women were reduced to mere sex objects by covering them up and subjecting them to fear.

Ever wondered, can a woman marry 4 husbands if she chooses? Can she divorce her husband with those few words? Isn't what is good for the gander also good for the goose?

The muslims in-turn now think because they've subdued their women, they can conquer the world. Its why they are ever fighting and killing Christians. The greedy fanatics after being promised in excess of 4 wives, 40 virgins. Its like women will go to heaven just to sate the sexual needs of men. ABK

Visit an arab country and you'll understand what hypocrisy is all about. Homosexuality, prostitution, alcoholism, mightier-than-thao puffed up self importance, abuse etc

@Mukiri you are the same guy who goes around quoting websites and others and when you're engaged you fake inability to read or you take cover until another convenient time to resurface!

Let me say this. I invite every one of you to stand at the gate of your place of work, or go to Easleigh, or go to town or at any uninversity of your choice, and talk to a Muslim lady.

I mean let us not ask Ruth Aura or Nelly Matheka... about how Muslim women feel.
Let us not ask CNN or Tom Brokaw... about how Muslim women feel.
Let us not ask Daily Nation or Substandard or Daily Press etc
Let us not ask non-Muslims about how Muslim women feel, how they live, what are their principles, what are their challenges.

If you want to be fair, ask a Muslim woman. Ask my wife (smile), ask my mother ...

You see. Ask a Muslim woman who knows her religion, who has a relationship with her Creator, who is stable in her cosiety, who has understanding of her responsibility... ask her.
And after that, I think you should be fair that you don't need to ask someone else.

But the problem is, no one really wants to ask Muslim women. We want to take pictures of women in Afghanistan, and pictures of women in Palestine, and pictures of women in Pakistan.
And we want to listen to what people want to say about female circumcission as if Muslims have women thousands, thirty thousand all over the world are being circumcised!

Some crazy Maina Kageni stuff!!!

having stayed in Mombasa as christian and dated severalIslam women.i discovered muslim women are oppressed.why does a woman have to share cowifes with her husband?
Why does a woman have to wear a Hijab?
Why does a woman have to wear all such bui bui and its so hot?
They can't go the the mosque..
They are reduced to mere objects just under their promiscus men like AlphaDoti

Many atimes i came across young girls from sheikh Khalifa who manage to het A & A- in KSCE,their muslim parents refuse them to go public universities to pursue courses like Engineering, Med etc...

Instead they take them to mount Kenya or Kemu and by the time the lady gets to 2nd years, she gets married off.Married of either to a single Muslim man or to another woman husband.

Generally islam oppress women, and the bad part is thay they dont understand they are oppressed.

Last year we talked to Amina Mohammmed at a UN conference in Brussels about this issues and she almost shed tears narrating how this issues kill the dreams and careers of many young bright girls.

@Faa below are my answers:

1. Sharing cowives - I have discussed polygamy here. It is an option available. It is available for those who have high libid* as @tycho said a while ago. Why are you complaining? There are those women who are willing to share.

2. Hijab - Women covering their bodies is not oppression.
Their fathers didn't tell them to do that. Their brothers didn't tell them to do that. Their sons didn't tell them to do that. It is religious obligation. Women, draw clothing accross their bossoms and do not allow their natural ornaments to be showed except to close family.
What are natural ornaments of women, incase you do not know what they are?
Their breasts, their shapes that happen to be different from that of men, should be covered.

Just incase you as a Christian do not remember
just 40 years ago, Christian women never went to church wihtout covering their heands. Ask your grand mothers.
And just 50-60 years ago, a Christian woman would never come outside with a short skirt. Even the nuns themselves today have succumbed to modernity. Because the nuns who committed themselves to the church and religious life, how do they dress? They cover themselves and nothing on them was seen except the face and hands.

This is not something that only Muslim women were told; but Jewish women, CHristian women and Muslim women were doing this.

Now modern civilization has asked women not to wear that, they could wear bikinis, does not mean that our culture (and God's wisdom, for those who are religious) is wrong and the modernist are right, no! Now for those who know the wisdom, woman covering herself properly is a protection to her, it is a distinction for her.
She will not be molested, she will not be insulted, and no need for a man to stare at her because there's nothing appearing of her that would cause any unatural attraction.
Therefore, it is more than unlikely she can come and go with decency and dignity and their natural ornaments would not be a liability for her like it happens when you see women who are wearing clothing that when you see them it seems as if they have painted on themselves!

All you have to do is see these two women and you can see the problems that exist.

IMPORTANT: Of course, it does not mean that every woman that does not cover herself completely, it does not mean that she's immoral. But a ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

For example, if I asked you what is your PIN number? You wouldn't tell me. If I came to visit you in your house, you won't have certificates of deposits in front of me, you won't have your jewels infront of me, you won't have your stack of money and savings infront of me distributed just because I'm a friend and we should be transparent.
No! You have those valuables in a place that is safe. Might be a bank, might be safe-deposit-box.
But that's just money. That's just tangible things. So our mothers, our wives, our daughters should be covered and in a safe place.

And this is our religion.

3. Buibui is not religious dress. It has no religious significance. Dressing in Islam can be any colour: must not be tight to show shape, must not be transparent, must not be too short.

4. Going to mosque: you have never seen women go to the mosque? And you claim to have lived in Mombasa. @Leona please tell him if I'm lying.

5. Amina Mohammmed - we don't know who this lady is. I already asked you to ask a Muslim woman who knows her religion, who has a relationship with her Creator, who is stable in her cosiety, who has understanding of her responsibility... ask her.
And after that, I think you should be fair that you don't need to ask someone else.

Again you are wrong. Our African culture before colonisation and their colonising Religion had minimal or no clothing at all. Please avoid unpleasant and deliberate misleading about our ancestors to conform with your foreign religion ideologies

@Tokyo no problem about African culcture, there were controls in place, and ethics and morals. This is how it was where I come from.

But now Islam has its own teachings. And it is the way it is. Exactly like what the Bible says about modesty and decency. Nothing different at all. Only that Muslims follow, while others just claim to know but follow something else.

Thats a flimsy challenge. Women in muslim land are not given options. Muslim women who move to other liberal countries abandon those male chauvinistic believes ASAP! That is no news.

And since we are 'challenging' each other, you have been dully challenged to prove that you are not a greedy egoistical name calling fanatical chauvinist by divorcing three wives, remaining with one and becoming a Christian as we all worship the same God.Pray And don't make excuses because I doubt anyone will frown upon you if you still insist on washing your a$$ with water, after your conversion.

PS: I'm glad you are learning, by writing short readable responses.

@willin2learn you can see how patient I'm toward @Mukiri. The same guy who will tell guys here to land first before acquiring the airport. Yet Jesus tells him in his Bible "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Matthew 5:27-28. He preaches water and takes alcohol.

Now @Mukiri, let me give you a statitic that you should know about. If you take a quarter of any gathering, almost every Muslim woman in that gathering will be a graduate. Or is very intelligent, and very much socially endowed and within her family structure, you will find that women control the wealth than the men.

What does that tell you?

Now where you find women oppressed, women exploited, women mistreated, among Muslims, that is because those Muslims themselves are not representing the principles of the religion.
And in every religion we've got black sheep.

But then again, you can't tell me the thousand prostitutes that walk the streets in US, UK, Holland and have licenses to do so. You can't tell me all these young naked little girls walking around, you can't tell me they represend liberation.

You can't tell me thousands of arbotions that take place with these young women, you can't tell me that represend sophistication or liberation.
You can't tell me that a naked woman sitting on a billboard, a naked woman selling everything even chocolate bar, toothpaste, everything. You can't tell me that does not represend exploitation.

So let's put things in context. Let's talk about things correctly. And let's be fair. Let's be objective.

Let me give you one more statistic: prostitution, venerial diseases & STDs, abortions , pedophilia, and number of children being raped and kidnapped that exists in your developed mindset society. It is almost unheard of in the Muslim world.

So I think that the statistics kind of peak for themselves.

So in the spirit of fairness and objectivity that yu r preaching here, please show me a few examples, or even one, of the NUDE photos I have uploaded that in your opinion led to "leading the young men into sin.

In the spirit of humbleness, I accept that I didn't see nude photos posted by you. I thought I saw them. I apologize Pray

And what does it mean, if the pictures were only in your head?

I think Alphdoti has no problem as such with the others. See, they are apologizing to each other and are getting along!

I think it is repeating himself to a pious, self righteous hypocrite is what is making him exasperated.

I'm trying to be very patient. But forgive me when I say if you don't clean your behind after going for a long call, then you will find your underpants soiled, or the behind smells when you pass by somebody's face. Check your pant and you'll see the dirt smeared underneath.

You're laughing, but the laugh is actually on you. Muslims have been given the best etiquettes for relieving oneself. I always ask people to clean themselves even if they're not Muslims to avoid these kind of embarrassment.
Because, in it are benefits and rewards. It is not only you who are ignorant of the fact that if you clean yourself with tissue paper only, then that part still remains unclean and it leaves whitish patch on the behind, which is smelly.

Try this tomorrow and see the difference, you'll not see any trace of dirt in your pant like the lady below coutesy of @Washiku

Just to you another verse. Yesu alitumia nini? John 13:4 Yesu akasema asiye tawadha, yeye hana shirika naye, wakati Petro alikataa kufuata Yesu. Umeshawai kutawadha? Unashirika na Yesu?
When Petro realised he would loose Jesus's friendship, he said "as Moses taught; head, hands and feet "hivyo aliondoka chakulani, akavua vazi Lake la nje, akajifunga kitambaa kiunoni. Kisha akamimina maji kwenye sinia na kuanza kuwanawisha wanafunzi Wake miguu. na kuikausha kwa kile kitambaa alichokuwa amejifunga kiunoni."
