Cancellations begin. Sad

Impact-
Flowers/Fruits for export go back to their owners-No Kenyan flowers will be auctioned/sold in Europe today/tomorrow.-millions lost.
Other marketers will take advantage of the gap and Kenyan exporters will be in tears.
Booked Cargo is stuck.

And someone is smiling rich today.

What about the tourists coming in for the great migration? iko chida...

Hakuna chida. They'll simply land huko MSA or Eldi. Sijui kama Kisumu itatosha.

Some who were planning their trips to Kenya may cancel...this incident definitely has an impact...

If you wanted to go to the UK, you can choose to either land at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham etc. Thus a temporary problem at Heathrow doesn't mean that you put off travel to the UK.

Sad eh....apparently Alai tweeted at around 2.08am saying a small fire had been detected at JKIA and wanted anyone around there to confirm...well then guess he was right Sad

If this is the case, disaster preparedness or its lack thereof could be the major weakness here.

A witness interviewed by NTV two hours ago indicated that only one truck was dispatched to the area but the fire was spreading very fast. There lies the answer.

The cause of the fire hasn't been established yet our own Johnny Walker arrived at JKIA with neither breathing mask nor a helmet. Interesting indeed!!!!
