Is it embracing, tolerance or acceptance? Do not go to the altar with anger against your brother. Embrace him, for he is you. Tolerate him, for the journey to perfection is long, and the conversation open. Accept him, just as you accept that you are sinful, and fallen short of the glory of God. Don't they seem mutually exclusive? Can you tolerate someone you've already embraced/accepted? Isn't tolerance a sign of not fully embracing or accepting. They do seem to be mutually exclusive. But remember that the point of conversation is that of self consciousness. It is a point of distinction, 'exclusion'. Hence the going to the altar for reconciliation and atonement.
